NEW
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

The
Board of Directors of the Vashon Island Chorale is pleased to announce the
selection of Gary Cannon as Artistic Director beginning with the 2008-09 season.
The selection follows a year-long search during which Gary rehearsed and
conducted the December concert, and Anthony Spain prepared and directed the
April concert. Both concerts were well-attended and received much praise
from both singers and audience. Now, with the selection process completed,
we look forward to an exciting year of growth and challenge as Gary takes the
Chorale into its next phase. |

especially wish to thank Anthony Spain for the focus and intensity he brought to
the Chorale this spring, and wish him well in the future with his current groups
(see the Links section for more information on Anthony's activities).

Chorale's next concert will be Dec 6 and 7 at Bethel Church. Check back
